Hey I just did a gasket job on my ZC head along with the timing belt. Now Im having a problem with the timing. Before I did the install I noticed that the intake gear was off by a tooth. Now they are both straight up at 0, but the timing is off like a beotch. My distributor is shot, but im limping along with the sensor inside zip tied up until I get a new one in two weeks. But the distributor has been that way for the last 5 months or so, so Im not sure what the deal is. Im going to put the new distributor in and see if that helps, but i doubt it will. Also I had a mechanic tweak with the distributors timing which he had to set it back something like 10 degrees just to get it to run somewhat ok. But it still lagging. Any thoughts are totally welcome guys! thanks.

Take it all apart when you get your new dizzy and reset the timing on everything. crank cam gears dizzy. I put a new timing belt on my zc while it was out of the car. when we finished the swap the car ran ok but when you floored the pedal the car lagged untill like 4-5k off by 1 tooth reset the timing and all was good
