I wanna say the Y8 head as well, but never messed around with anything else...

The HX head would be great if they made aftermarket parts for it. ROLLER ROCKERS

Ask any Honda Tech at a dealership how many Y7's/Y8's have been replaced for oiling issues.

ALOT!

theres a set of d16 valves on ebay right now..hehe

go d16a6!! i'm starting my rebuild soon for my 4th gen hatch
i personally wanted to stay away from a completely different type of motor for my car than say... y8 or b-series

you can use any kind of pistons, srp i hear are really good for high pressure buildups. i'm still looking for a cheaper alternative for myself tho :)

but.. if you went Y8 eagle sells a complete rotating assembly for it, for not too bad of a price (comparitavly)

i would get a d16a6 block with a ported y8 head. or a stock z6 head. i have personally had better durabuilaty with the a6 blocks.

as far as pistons go,try to stick with honda pistons.less problems.i can get u anyset for 200shipped in std bore.
right now i have a set of zc and a6 pistons and rings new in box for 200shipped.let me know.
