I have a 92 civic with a jdm d15b in it. It gets it pretty good but my second gear sucks. The weird thing is it is an si tranny. So I am trying to lower my gears and get my v-tec to kick sooner. I am getting a 12 pound flywheel, and am asking about the vtec controler. Can the vtec controler hurt my motor at all? Can it do anything besides give me bad gas mialage? If possible I want the ups and downs on the vtec controler

honestly stock vtec crosses over at 4800 on a p28. i highly reccomend a srr final drive kit .this makes the biggest differnce in the world

either your shifting at a low rpm, or you don't have a Si tranny.

Are you using a factory tach? If so try shifting at 7600 rpm for 1-2 shift.

Use 7100 rpm on a GOOD tach.

i was looking into a vtec controller awhile back. i read an article on the internet about the vtec controllers being pretty worhtless on stock, non forced induction motors. it didn't buy one.

Field and Apexi controllers are going for so cheap no used. Well... cheap is relative. But anyway, you never know if the fuel control aspects of the vtec controllers will be helpful later down the line.

I know I bought mine only for the vtec control on my mini-me but ended up using it to help tune the fuel.
