get a set of 205/40/17 tires, or get a new set of wheels and tires

I would really like to find some SI wheels that are in good shape, and hopefully trade the ones i have now for them, know of anywhere i can look? Oh and the pic of the chrome wheel is what im rolling on right now

SI rims can be found on EBay or @ junkyards .. problem with junkyards is everyone knows that they can be found there .. so usally JYs get rid of them faster then they get them

i have the same problem with my car and i currently have 17" Motegi Silver FF5 rims. i can't lower the car due to this small gap.

someone suggested that i get some lower profile tires, but would'nt that wear out the rubber in the tires quicker? another possibility for me is i can put on a body kit to make it look lower, but how low are most of the kits compared to stock??

if you wanna go lower ... whats the point of puttin on a body kit that only makes it LOOK lower ... if you want lower get coilovers .. but real coilovers not cheap 180 dollar coilovers

the point is, i can't go any lower, even with aftermarket coilovers. anyhow i plan on buying a complete set of Tein suspension with the dampening thing, after i get my turbo this summer. i guess i'll figure out how to get some wheel clearing for lowering the car.

Tein is definately the way to go .. cant go wrong with JDM quality suspension goodness .. forget a body kit ...

Thanks for all the input guys, i really appreciate your replies. I think im just gonna sell the wheels and tires and get some smaller ones. What are some good racing brands?

Rota's can be had quite cheap, and they are nice and light...some of the best wheels for the money

rota slipstreams - $415 no rubber ... cant beat that .. they are 15inches .. and light as hell ...

i put teins on kyb's and it's a nice ride. JDM is better. You wouldn't go to Japan to build up am American car, would ya? (I don't know why anyone would tune am american car) Hee Hee! J bodies smell and look like cacas!

to me it doesn't matter whether or not my car has JDM or American parts, as long as it runs and looks clean. Both my front bumper and back bumpers got deep scars and scratches on them. yes, i even scrape my front bumper a lot of the streets when going down/up hill and my car isn't even lowered. the suspension is all stock right now and it would be a better choice to put aftermarket replacement bumpers on my car -- nothing too fancy, just something that will still look a bit stock, but something more sturdy like a urethrane kit.

sorry bro, the only thing that will look stock is stock bumpers.....i dont know why you wanna get a kit if you already scrape your stock bumpers...i guess you wanna spend money on a kit so you can scratch up something more expensive???
