Like the topic says... I know quite a few people are running the Skunk2 manifold on their D16's, and the dyno results look good. Any opinions on the Edelbrock Performer X?

i just stick to the old saying Jg= Just Garbage.

i had one of their head with cam and all and i got 11hp on a dyno with it.that was after a couple of runs with tunning. since then i will never get anything associated with jg.

JG is not associated with Edelbrock anymore. the new SOHC manifold from edelbrock is a design totally done in house by Edelbrock Engineers and no one else. Good stuff in my opinion.

yea whoa ... JG isnt garbage ... i know Javier personally over @ JG and he is the man .. who else can build a race ready b16 for a daily driver for $3500 that can handle 28psi on 92 octane and make 550whp ?? JG isnt garbage ... ive been to their facility many many times ... all they do is tune hondas .. they are top of the game for sure ...

I saw a dyno of the edelbrock im over on HT. It made 5-6 whp over the y8 IM on a completely un-tuned setup. Skunk2 claims 8whp over the y8 on a tuned setup. I've heard a number of complaints about fitment on the skunk2. Anyways, I ordered an edelbrock IM from Wil @ www.exospeed.com . I just have to figure out what to do about the air injection port on the im since I have a 98 and air injection was only on the 99-00.

Im partial to the Edelbrock Manifold. So far I have heard of no clearance issues, it looks great, plus you get the option of adding additional injectors in the future if you decide to go turbo.

I have the edelbrock on my EF hatch I and to make solid motor mounts so it would not hit m brake booster.

i have the skunk 2 im. and it performs,i think that the edelbrock im,is a good choice also, the only problem on the skunk is that the fuckin iacv hits with the brake booster, the iacv mounts under the plenum on the edel, its seems that the skunk guys did not test their im. on a eg.both im.look very similar in desing, but if you do not want any clereance issues go with the edelbrock im.
