what year is your car? find out what ecu you're carrying, and then go on to the website and findout if they have one. because for me, since i have an OBD II ecu, I'm going to have to buy an OBD I along with adapting harness in order to run hondata. but in the long run, from what I've learned and researched, it's by far a good idea, if not vital.

hes the hondata will support a d16y7 car. you just use the p28 ecu and have the non vtec program used instead of the vtec one. that simple.

I am running hondata on my d16y7 and I am using a p06 ecu. Don't waste your money on a p28 when you can pick up a p06 for around $30.

hondata will not work on an obb-2 car (96+ civics). You will have to convert to obd-1 (92-95 civics) and add the hondata to that. Most people use the p28 ecu which comes from the 92-95 civic ex.
So you need :
obd-1 ecu
obd2->obd1 wiring harness
hondata
tuning :)

Have any of you guys heard about a problem with hondata on boosted cars? I have seen a dyno run from a zc turbo boosting 8 psi start to run as much as 30 degrees timing on full boost! this could blow the whole thing!
The car has a 3 bar map, and is running a vtec map for better fueling, for some reason though the non vtec map doesnt do this at all. the dealer/shop that is authorized to do hondata, thinks that there may be a flaw in the software since its not reading anything over 1 bar on the fuel/timing maps. It does show the maps past 1 bar are there but for some reason, it is not able to use them or can't.
The car ran great pulling 215 hp on a stock zc. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Awesome site with lots of good info. :)
Have you thought about uberdata? It's being updated all the time and it's free! I am selling my hondata right now so I can run uberdata. I would defintely check it out before you decide to go with hondata.

Uberdata is ROM editor software that you can use with an eprom programmer to chip your own ECU. It's free because the creators of thse ROM editors decided to help us honda guys out instead of make money off us.

May i also suggest TurboEdit, the kid that codes it is named jayparker, imo it's better than turbo edit. It also gets downloaded more.
