So yeah, i've been contemplating a nice little analog setup for quite a while now, and after some resarch (well a lot actually) I've pieced together a nice little setup that won't break the bank and should give the desired results i'm looking for. :)
For the amp i'm going with the S5Electronics Stereo Tube Kit, for $140 (plus a little extra for the snazzy case  ) it's a pretty complete looking set and should last me until i get a hankering for something else to solder together :p

And for the speakers, i'm going with the Fluance SV-6 Bookshelf set.

I've only heard good things about this company since they first started out a few years ago. They've provided cheap, but incredible sounding speakers. At $119 a pair, the price is hardly bank-shattering, and you get way more than what you pay for. My friend got a set of these last year, and they never cease to impress.
