Im sure this question has been asked and answered before but I don't feel like searching around so heres my question. Can a B16 or even B18 head fit on a ZC block? If not are there any DOHC vtec heads that would work?

From all I have seen, D-series and B-series are not compatable.

You can build a D-series with B-series valvetrain via some company, though.

I already found out how to make it vtec with modifications.

Buy hasport motor mounts, and shifter linkage (don't have to be hasport)

And pull your stock motor, and add a b. There.

My motor isn't stock. And thats not really what I had in mind. lol.. But the next time I have about $2000 I might give it a shot or just use the $2000 for a turbo setup. What would you guys do? Turbo a ZC or just pull it all out and get a b16?

Man, do we need to do this again!!! JK. http://www.d-series.org/viewtopic.php?t=2900

Definatly get a turbo!!! And when that motor blows get a new one, and when that motor blows get another, and when ... well you get my point.

Read this and it will give you an idea what happens when someone asks that kind of question!!! Keep in mind I am not mad in the least bit!

Damn, Rexinre.. sounds like you guys on that other post had quite the battle. I think I will turbo my ZC someday, but for $3400 its going to be awhile. Does Edlebrock make a turbo kit for the DOHC ZC? I might go junkyard style for now, but only if I get all the facts inline. my friends dad is a certified ASE master mechanic and is helping me build up my car. I'll have to run a few idea's by him about a homemade turbo first. G1 Eclipse turbo I heard are good to start with. Either way I would love to go with the edlebrock turbo if there is one available, but that $3400 is out there for me right now. Spray will have to do until then.

The only turbo kits Edelbrock currently makes for the Honda engine is D16Y8 SOHC; D16Z6 SOHC; B16A2 DOHC.:? Stick to the spray and build your self a turbo, with your friends Dad's help and ours it should be good!

Good Luck

If you want to save some money, do a custom kit. You can go to www.homemadeturbo.com they have alot of good info there.

d-series turbo > b-series swap
