HLCD's????

I was wondering if anyone in here still uses HLCD's?? I know that they used to be all the rage a few years back. Does anyone still use them.

Last set I saw was from USD they called them waveguides though.

Image Dynamics also comes to mind as does veritas.........anyone?

i dont like them, every system that i have heard with them sounds inaccurate at low volumes. but for loud systems they are decent:beer:

I agree they're pretty hit-or-miss.

and HARSH......Even the GN the Richard Clark redid after Speakerworks won with it......

Gimme a 7" 3 way componet set from Dynaudio, 2x10 and 1x15, or 2x12..........

Have 1.2-1.5 kW RMS and all will be good!

I prefer the 3 way dynaudios myself........I was in the states a while back and listend to a sustem in a 96 SS Impala that was owned by earl willis.

15 ID subs in a AP enclosure and 8" door mounted mids and HLCD's, car sounded WOW......they just seem to have dropped off the market.......

Never ever liked horn tweets. Theres a huge difference between an audiophile and someone who likes shit LOUD!

2nd that, I have a 135db SQ system in my car and the only reason it goes so high is that local SQ rules changed from a 127db base to a 134db base.......I rarely listen to mine full blast unless I'm next to a merc or a bimmer and they're on the phone.
