if you wanna lower compression just run a thicker head gasket, like something from cometic.

Are you talking about the head gasket THICKNESS!
0.02500000in= 2 layers
0.03700000in= Stock

I don't know that I've seen a headgasket thinner than the y8/z6 gasket. You can always remove a layer from the z6/y8 gasket.

removing the middle layer from a head gasket sounds like a good way to waste $60. especially for 0.2:1 bump in compression.:doh

that's not enough to make any kind of difference. y8 gasket was $63 from carquest.

A full 3 layer Y8 headgasket is .027". I've measured several.
