I am new to the turbo world and i was thinking about getting the Greddy kit for my D16Z6. I am gonna be rebuilding the motor to stock specs when i get the kit. What will i have to do to tune the fuel and everything or does the kit just plug and play.

thanks

Ugh, what does the kit come with for fuel? Is it an FMU or E-manage? Either way it's crap, but let us know. :D

The older Greddy kits come with the blue box, but the new ones have aluminum pipes and come with the E-Manage.

Dr. Boost: I know you're about chipping, but the E-Manage is far from being crap. It's a hell of a lot better than some of the hack jobs available for those who aren't as knowledgeable as you. It also works with OBD-II, unlike the Hondata.

True. I would take the E-manage over the blue box or an FMU anyday.

After taking a look at some other posts would it be easier to use a fpr, fuel rail, bigger injectors, and a bigger pump and just sell the E-manage?

What are you going to do to control the fuel? You can't run larger injectors with the stock ECU without some sort of management tool. By the time you buy all that stuff and get it home, you would have spent enough money to have the E-Manage fully dyno tuned. Also, it's just as hard [or easy] as installing an AFC. Don't wimp out and settle for less. Do your homework and get the RIGHT STUFF the FIRST TIME.

I forgot to mention the AFC but do i have to run on the dyno to tune the AFC? If i am going to do that i might as well just tune witht eh E-manage they give right?

thanks

Yes, you're correct. Why waste money on a lesser fuel control unit when you have a great piggy back one in the kit...
