well after some months of it sitting in my tool box, i decided to stick on this AEM adj. regulator and B&M gauge.
Now before anyone says anything, i'm not expecting gobs of HP outta this mod, but i'd like to know an optimal setting i should be running at. Now in the Honda shop manual for the crx and the AEM sheet, it gives a general spec of 45 - 60 psi. Thats a pretty broad spec if you ask me.
So i guess i'm just looking for some input on what other people are doing, or even where i should start at. here's the set-up
D16A6
Z6 intake manifold
B18 throttle body
AEM cold air
4-1 header
2.5 cat-back exhaust
JET PM6 ecu upgrade (stock rev limiter)
any help / input is appreciated
thanx
mike
Better check your manual for typos. 35-41 psi for the regulator with no vaccum applied. I have my pressure set at 36 psi and use endyn's idea of the idle bleed hole in the FPR.

I have mine set at 41 when I had it dynoed. I pulled in there at 50ish and he said I was getting too much fuel. I aslo have a turbo so its a little different for me, but just so you have an idea.
Good Luck

umm...well have a look at the manual yourself then. It clearly says 40-60psi with no vaccum applied

the AEM sheet gives the same spec.
anyway thanx for the input, i appreciate it

I would set it at 40 psi if that is as low as you can get it. 36 psi is oem spec. for a6 . Unless you have a stage 2 PnP and a cam upgrade and the need for that much fuel to compensate for more air. Whats the oem z6 fuel pressure, anyone?

according to the manual for the 95 civic, EX/Si fuel pressure is listed as 40 - 47 psi with no vaccum applied
and actually to the other guy, i did mess up, the manual says 40-50 psi not 60.. the online manual is a little fuzzy and hard to read sometimes
my bad
so i guess in all, i'll stick it at 40-42psi and go from there.
thanx for the help

Well, that's odd. You're showing me the same page that's in my book, but that one line of type is different. It's certainly not the first error I've found in Helms. I still think 40 is too high.
