alarm playing up

Trying to install my alarm system but it's not wired properly i think...

My alarm arms and disarms fine but when it is disarmed, i go and turn the key and the siren goes off, it only goes off for about half a second and turns off when the engine turns on.

My remote central locking is wired in reverse because when the alarm is disarmed it locks the car doors.


The alarm is a BW 9900

and i'm not sure of the central locking.

sounds like it could be the way the starter disableing was wired up from what it sounds like to me. Cause if it does it for a second then stops when it's started that's would I would look at first. Did a shop install it or yourself/friend? If a shop or friend I would have them look and figure out what it is to fix the issue.

i had this same problem with a different alarm system that i had bought from a local store. it ended up being that inside the actual alarm main unit the soldering was not good and was bridged in a few spots so i took it back and they exchanged it. after that no problems

Sounds like someone wired the ignition harness wrong.

scrap that alarm, and get a Viper 791. :-p
