Good luck with that. If you do find it for $400 its going to be without the wiring harness, and in pretty rough shape. Remember you get what you pay for, and your definatly going to need the wiring harness, and I surely hope you have a 99-00, or this modification is a bigger headache then you think.

eBay is about the only place to find them at the current moment. The reason you need a 99-00 Civic, is because the 96-98 navigation uses electronic controls like the ones in the 99-00s. So thankfully your already one step ahead of the 96-98 Civics. Because if you owned a 96-98 it would involve a much more tedious installation.

But as I say, your best bet would be to spend the cash, and find one with all the necessary wiring, etc. Your also going to have to look into how to convert the navigation system from Japanese, to North American. There is a way, but its easier said then done, or so I've been told. Also, Honda of Japan offered a navigation system for the 99-00 model years. Only downfall, is its twice as expensive, and more rare to find then the 96-98
