Well after 4 months of waiting.... my motor is finally done. Not going back on boost for another month or so ($$$$), but I just thought I'd share the pix.

it went from this...
http://www.tiora.net/~civicryda2k/car/turbo_civic/motor_buildup/motor_build_08.jpg

to this...
http://www.tiora.net/~civicryda2k/car/turbo_civic/motor_buildup/assembled_d16_01.jpg

then to this...
http://www.tiora.net/~civicryda2k/car/turbo_civic/motor_buildup/install/motor_ready_03.jpg

and finally this....
http://www.tiora.net/~civicryda2k/car/turbo_civic/motor_buildup/install/motor_in_02.jpg

Looks scary doesn't it ::sarcasm::

the setup for all those who haven't seen previous posts is...

77mm D16Z6 Golden Eagle Sleeved Block
JE 77mm 9:1 Pistons
Eagle H-Beam Rods
Cometic 77mm Standard Headgasket
Stock D16Z6 Head
ARP Headstuds
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
H22A Throttlebody
Golden Eagle Fuel Rail
D16Z6 Tranny (gotta get another one... 3rd gear is fux0r3d)
ACT XTR6 (6 Puck Unsprung Disk + XT Presure Plate)
ACT XACT Streetlite 12.5lb Flywheel
Hurst Short Shifter

Feels good to be able to drive my car after so long (old motor was on it's way out). Still has a few bugs to work out but I'm just breaking it in now. and hopefully in a month or two ill have the turbo setup on it and possibly some springs and retainers for the head. Thanks to Dean @ C.A.R.D. in Ft. Lauderdale for the assembly and install.

That valve cover needs to be a little shinier!

Looks great, makes me want to send my block out for work to be done to it!

Looks really good man, I'm envious. Personally I would have gone with thick buttressed AEBS sleeves and block guard. Just my opinions. I cant wait to see your ride boosted.

How's it driving? I am building almost the same setup except 77mm JE 10:1 pistons, and RS Sleeved... Will be boosting after break in... But I need to build it first...
GE makes nice blocks... I have a ZC block sleeved by them

Sweet setup man. You should post up some 1/4 mile times before and after boost so we all can see what times that amount of building got ya n/a and boosted.

I have an exospeed/RS Machines 77mm Block and I put the pistons in 2 weeks ago. I could post pics if someone gave me web space. It is beautiful just like CivicRyda2k's setup...

Btw CivicRyda2k: HOW IS IT RUNNING????

hes just saving weight by not taping and looming hehe.

did you linebore the cranjk journels while you were at it? It should be done everytime you sleeve a block because sleeving moved the bores around and the webing gets slightly tweeked. so line boring sraightens it out correctly.

wow just checked back on this thread.

ok to the wiring... it's been cleaned up for a long time now. i just had it like that because i didn't have time to redo the wiring when i took the turbo kit off. and i figured it'd have to be redone anyway but it looks A LOT neater now ;-). it looks factory now (has an accord wiring harness on it hehe).

To the motor... it's not running now... the damn cam gear broke in half on me... but... oh well time for built head. the new head is a y8 and has a zex 105300 cam, crower springs and retainers, full port and polish and 3 angle valve job. hehe
