Hey, I know most of you guys probably never heard of this guy and maybe don't care. I've seen him once and used to listen to his act all the time. I just thought I would throw it out there that he died. I heard a rumour of it on the radio this morning, but didn't find anything in the news about it. Then this afternoon it was for sure. They say it was a heroin overdose. It's just damned sad to see another talented guy die from heroin.....maybe I'm just old but I remember John Belushi when he died too....damned sad. That's all I had to say. Thanks for listening.

damn, thats horrible news!! i love his comdey, he is one of the most hilarious stand-ups acts ever IMO. that sucks

very sad to hear. I was a big fan of him I hear his stuff on xm comedy all the time he really was a great comedian. Seems like the funniest people always die too soon.

This is one of the saddest things I have heard in a while. I saw hi live a few years back... he was a great comedian. He will be missed.

he was one of my favorite comedians - i saw him twice. i was very upset when i heard this... i thought it was a prank at first.

actually he didn't die from drugs or alcohol... while it was well known he did both drink and do drugs, he actually died from heart problems. He apparently was born with heart problems, and had just made it all the way to now....

i guess the irony in that is how much drugs he did, that he didn't die from an OD. in fact the last couple of years he slowed down his drug use a LOT, and pretty much stopped doing everything except for weed.

Erin - Mitch Hedberg is a funny f@#king comedian - i have his liveset stuff i'll show you on mp3... good stuff.
