Sorry for long post. Im not the most active member, however I need some direction from you peeps. Im 22, next year I should graduate from Marshall, my car has about $700 left till pay off. Im at one of those "im thinking of getting rid of the civic" points of life. Shes got over 118k, auto, nothing wrong minus my front bumper needs repainted. I drive +60 mile trips almost daily to work or school. This summer I plan on getting a 2nd job or one nice paying fulltime job. Either way means driving as much maybe more than I do now.

Im thinking with my few mods and clean title i could prob get 3500 to 4500 k maybe private selling. I like keeping my options open and I like putting myself in good position for the future. If I keep the civic I want to supercharge her and few bolt-ons. I dunno how well it would do at high milage, reliablility and all, etc. I would supercharge like asap.

My option if I sell the civic:
VW GOLF GTI (20th or 337 edition) low mileage, good cond.
Brand New Golf GTI end year (Save now/during summer, for dwn paym)
Civic SI? Havnt looked into much, wonder about comfort seat wise? price?
Find me a descent cond used 80's 300z or Supra  w/digital gauges

Yes I love VW golfs and civics, hatchbacks, digital gauges etc. So whats the prob with my civic, nothing except comfort and good power. Im 6 ft tall almost 200 pounds and im broad in both end ;) so seat comfort is becoming a priority with long daily trips as well as cabin area. Plus im like 2 inchs from the ceiling. I also need something with good gas milage. Descent cargo area.

Comments, opionions, whatever just dont hate cuz im trying to better myself. Thanks in advance.

First of all it just depends on what you want...it sounds more like you're looking for something faster (then what you have), reliablity and comfort! Correct me if I'm wrong! lol From the list of cars you listed I would have to say go with the 06 si when it comes out...I know it's not a D...but atleast it's still a honda! I just don't know much about the other one's so I can't give you an opinon on them! :)

Thereis probably as much room in your civic as their is in a golf. Im 6'2 270 and I had a hell of a time trying to fit comfy in a golf. I myself would wait for the 06 civic if you are against keeping the one you own now.

weird ........ i sat in the current generation golf and had no problem getting in, and i sat in the new generation jetta and had no problem either .....

the only problem waiting for the new generation civic is more than likey its higher price and by the time its released and available my car may not be worth much depending how long and how many miles i drive ....... any dates for their release??? thanks again

The date for release would probably be later this year but i could be wrong. I haven't been in a jetta and the golf was a few years older. Might not have been the current generation. If im not mistaken i think the new si would be cheaper than the golf though. If you are talking about the 1.8t. But i could be wrong there also.

if your car is running fine, and you're about to be finished with your payments... KEEP IT! Save your money for something real... like your own house or something. OR if you just have savings, you can take more chances with your jobs... like keep moving around until you find something with a future. If you have a lot of debt, you'll be too scared to try to change jobs and you might get stuck with something you hate.

At least give yourself a year of living like this....
