Step 1: Gather your tools. You will need, 17mm wrench, 3/8” ratchet and an oil pump. (not shown is an oil pan and 4 quarts or oil)
Step 2: Loosen but don’t remove the 17mm bolt found at the top backside of the transmission. It is near the axle.
Step 3: Place your oil pan under the transmission
Step 4: Loosen and remove the 3/8” bolt on the bottom of the tranny. Be careful because it will shoot fluid out, so compensate for this with the placement of the pan.
Step 5: Let all of the fluid flow out.
Step 6: Put your oil pump up in the fill hole (17mm plug)
Step 7: Pump a quart through the transmission to flush out any old oil
Step 8: After the flush is complete, plug the drain hole (bottom) and continue filling up the transmission. Fill it up until it starts to dribble out of the fill hole.
Step 9: While it is still dripping, plug the fill hole and wipe it down.
