how hard is this to do? what work is needed to do so?

have to machine the rods to fit the pistons, and get pressed in.

b18a/b rods need to be machined @ the big end to fit the narrow d crank journal, and the little end is uses a .826 wrist pin, where the a1 piston calls for a .747

I think crower makes the bushing you need

machine shop only . . .you have to put a bushing on the small end of the rod.
