I'm currently driving a 92 Civic DX Manual and i'm looking to remedy the one point in which honda has FAILED me: My car has no Tachometer. I've got a Gauge cluster from a 96 Civic EX (actually i've got most of the car) and i'm wondering if a swap is possible. Plug in? Rewiring? Know where to find Diagrams? I know the 96+ is OBDII so i expect that it won't be incredibly easy, but i want to know if it's possible.
Thanks, you d-series guys are great.

ok, i swapped a 99 SI cluster in a friends car at work. Its difficult, lots of re-wiring and using the dremel. I didnt do a write up or anything. It took awhile to get it looking right too. Theres a link on H-T.com
ill get it for ya.

For the same year Civic, are does it matter if the gauge cluster is Auto or Manual? I can get an Auto cluster for cheaper on ebay, but will the plugs be different? i'm hoping there's just an extra one i won't use.

everything will plug right up no problems...i think the AT indicators might light up but that will be it. If it were me id pull the bulbs out.
