my peeps and myself were toss'n around some cool ideas and we were like damn, i wish i had a D-series Lanyard to sport around. we felt d-series should try making these. just an idea. Think about it........come on...you know u want to.

we have a d-series.org sticker on our car and he have to have d-series.org holding the key to our car as well

My key chain is relegiously reserved for ONLY my car key and my alarm clicker.
I would absolutely sport a d-series lanyard however.

In fact, I did some searching, and will have a quote shortly from a custom printing company. 50 pcs. is the min. order from this company. Every other place I found had a minimum of 100-250 pcs (which = about $200-300 upfront cost.) Hopefully this particular company will allow for lower upfront costs, though smaller batches usually means higher per unit costs. Probably gonna be about $3 a piece (shipped) for members. If I get anything promising, I'll pass it along to the Mods.

this is good.
but more people need to speak up if they want one if this is going to happen.
we need to get a general idea of who'd be buying because these work on a batch order and they must all be purchased before they can be resold (at cost of course) to the lovely members of D.
(The other d-series stuff is done through cafe-press which is a print on demand operation.)

Also, we need to get opinions on colors because we have to order a minimum of 50 lanyards all of the same color combination.
I was thinking Red lanyard/White text.

i'd buy some... the lanyard is a plus... i hate the keychains that arent flexible. the red with white is hott because of the honda valve color.

I too would by 2......but I would have to vote for Honda blue with white lettering.....I just figure it looks better....if we want red for a valve cover we'd all be driving b18c5's....lol Just messing with you man....but I do like the blue better.....not a big red fan.

here's the deal with the colors:
You have to order at least 50 of the same color. 50 lanyards x $3/piece = $150+ per color.
We will have to pool some money to get this off the ground, and I just can't see getting together $300+ to have more than one choice on color. Thus, we have to come to a consensus on color. Look for the poll.

Now we only need another donor for $50.

None of the mods have gotten in touch with me on organizing this shit. But, we seem to be getting really good feedback from the members so I think it's gonna happen regardless. :smile:
Since the Mods are sitting this out, I can't guarantee you any free stickers or cool user titles for making this happen.

If you haven't voted on a color, go vote now in the Polls forum.

This is what they will look like ceptin' different colors, font, and it'll say "www.d-series.org" on one side and "your online D series community." on the other.

I was pondering a nice reference to SOHC power on one side of the lanyard, but I don't want to exclude all those freaks with their DOHC ZCs.

Ok everyone.
It seems that the black with white lettering wins the poll. (Sorry if that wasn't your first choice.)

Well, there's been a setback - one of the donations didn't come thru.
jlacoy and I have pooled $100 of the necessary $150. I may just front the rest, but I don't know if I can afford that... I'm still contemplating it.
If I'm unable to afford the rest of the upfront cost, then I'll be sending jlacoy his donation back and this will be grounded for now.

OK i feel like crap! i jsut got my envelop and $ order back from my post guy... suposidley it got "lost" in the mail and basicly distroyed! like shreaded it was in a plastic thing all flattednd out!!! so here is that deal again, Guys i've let you down if you need to i'll get another one out and i feel like crap!
