Were there any EG civics that came with factory keyless entry? I know almost all Eks did. Im asking because there are a few new EGs in the junkyard i buy shit from and i want keyless entry.

the eg hatch did not come with power door locks, so no I do not believe they had keyless entry. Someone correct me if I am wrong, I have never seen a factory keyless system on a hatch.

i havent either, ive only seen one EG with keyless, and it was part of a viper alarm system. So idk...im thinking the EX sedan woulda been the only one what might have had it.

it is not a huge project converting to power locks and windows out of an ej1, just time consuming.

i got power locks and shit on my EG8, ive just been looking for a stock keyless system that would work. I guess i might just have to buy an alarm that has it included

im noy really sure it was on the car when i bought it al i know is i push the button the door unlocks

i wish mine did...at least all of mine lock when i lock the drivers side...except the passenger front door, it has no actuator

most aftermarketkeyless systems add a solenoid that pushes and pulls the lock rod, that is how it works. pretty easy to install.

i was thinking of an alarm that uses factory power door locks for keyless and arming/disarming of the alarm.

ive never seen that in an eg before. you can get alarm for under $100 and diy. mine was on the car already when i got it, i just had to buy new acuators. they where like $10 shipped off ebay

found out today that it was an option on the 94-95 Civic EX sedans. But i dont know of any off hand that have it. Ill just got buy another Viper Alarm
