First off lemme say that im 17 years old, so no, im not typing this up in jail, but at home.

I got arested last night, possetion of marywanna. And then this morning i see a note "Dads, gonna call you, you car got vadlized last night, glass everywhere". That a shitty thing to wake up to. So as of now i have no clue what shape my cars in, im sure its not good, my sounds system prolly misssing...


Anyway, well im board just sitting here, no more work for me, cause no more car, for now.

Insurance gonna be way to much now, cause wrote me up for DUI, but i wasent driving i was just in my car high as fuck, because i couldent drive. You do know this is illegal for them to write you up for DUI if you werent drinking, ESPECIALLY if you werent even driving. If they wrote you up for DUI, then they must have done a field sobriety test as mandated, correct? If they have no field sobriety test to go by they are going to have a hard time proving you were drunk....just wanted to let you know.

I think you're confusing DUI with DWI. DUI is driving under the influence which they assume if you're in the driver's seat. DWI is driving while intoxicated. He wasnt drinking but he was blazing.

Agreed, It took me getting arrested 4 times before I learned that it was my own fault. Your lucky being 17, they have to call your parents. I was 18 when I got arrested for Class D (sticky, icky, icky) and I spent 32 hours in jail. It sucked. Smoke in a residence. Get familiar with your "dip stick" and I dont mean the one in your pants. Things will get better......

Those damn "no tollerance" states scare the hell outa me. Here in MA pot's not that big of a deal. Now if you had some crack, then you might get in trouble, but you might not.....its pretty corupt here....

That happend to my friend just a few weeks ago driving through Mass. He felt he was too drunk to drive, so he pulled over to the side of the road. A cop pulled up next to him, qustioned him, and arrested him for DUI, becuse the keys were in the ignition.

So bottom line...
TAKE THE DAMN KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION!!!!!

Hey when you were arrested, did you have your keys in the ignition? I don't know about your state, but in WI they can't get you for an OWI or DUI if your keys aren't in the ignition. Also, if all you were doing was smoking, unless they took you to a hospital and drew your blood, they have no way to validate if you were under the influence or not. The cop may try to say that due to his years of experience, it was his opinion that you were under the influence but his opinion is only circumnstantial and doesn't prove a thing as far as hard evidence is concerned. Even if they did draw your blood, since it's pot they can't prove exactly when you were smoking anyway.(well, unless you admitted to it.) When officers write a ticket, they typically write a brief commentary saying what happened. This information is not available until after you plea not guilty, so I would plea not guilty and request a copy of the form. These can typically be obtained through the clerk of courts in whatever municipality this occured. After you get that information, go over it so you know exactly what the DA knows (this way he's less likely to surprise you with something.) You can use this information to spin what you say when you talk to the DA in you pre-trial conference. Depending on what the fine is for possession in your state, you may want to consult an attorney in your area. He shouldn't have to put in too many hours so believe it or not, this will probably save you some money. Like I said earlier though, I'm not farmiliar with all the laws of your state so check with a local attorney.

that sucks man, someone broke into my car and stole my deck and all my cds, then i decided that a alarm would be a good idea. so i got a compustar alarm and i love it to death, can detect everthing that happens to my car within a 1.25 mile radious.

the reason why they gave you a dui is because if they saw that the keys were in the ignition, or if the engine is warm, they know that you were driving at some point if you were high or not, they dont care if you were just chillin in your car smokin, you should be doin that at a friends house or somewhere remote.

heres the deal, they did take blood out of me there. But they did not get my parents permission, therefore i belive my friend said they would drop the charges, or my parents will sue. I had about a dime back...4 grams...

I also looked at pictures of my car, just the driver side window was busted but looked like nothing was messed with beside a pack of cigarettes....My deck was still there, but hell i dont even know how to get that deck out...heres some pics my dad took...

Sucks for your situation. I wouldnt worry about the marijuana thing unless you have some priors. Your car wasnt moving, and it is tough to prove exactly WHEN you had smoked last based on the blood test alone.

Im thinkin either a diversion program or community service. Hope it turns out well.

I had a DUI way back when also, it's gonna suck ass! Your insurance will be through the roof!!! No lie! I got mine almost 5 yrs ago and I'm still feeling the pain. My insurance is still through the roof....but then again I've had 4 speeding tickets and a no fault accident too! That is the main reason I'm gonna buy a Honda this summer....I can't afford insurance on anything else!!! But for real it's your fault for doing that shit, don't worry though yer still in HS. Yeah, getting caught with weed sucks.

I got caught about 7 years ago in Queens, Fort Totten. My buddies and I were tokin up, next thing I knew 4 undercover cops rip open the doors with guns pointed at our heads. Actually I was relieved to find out they were cops because I thought they were ganstas. Because it was my first offense, they let me off easy, 2 days community service cleaning the subways.

I pay about $350/Z. I like to buy in bulk because I hate going to drug dealers. (the most unreliable people ever)

I make these little disposable crackpipes and smoke weed out of them. ;-)

shit i keep it safe lol, i dont dui and i have never smoked pot in my life lol, i stick to cigars and yaa i get tickets to lol but for my exhaust, sorry to hear man, once i saw this kid kick my muffler then throw yogurt on my windshield didnt do anything cause i was at work, next day went to school grabbed the back of his head slammedh is face into the wall then threw him on the ground and kicked him for about a minute got a 2 day suspension and he got a ride to the hospital, my rents didnt care they know how much i love my car so it was all good but yaa, if i were u i would play it safe man dont do so much bad stuff like pot it will only bring u down so stay clean man and sweet ride besides the broken window

I'm suprised you received a DUI instead of possession. Hopfully, your state has a first time offender program.

Never carry more than you can eat or toss. If you carry paraphanalia, make it wood (dugout). It gets good distance when thrown and doesn't retain finger prints. Community service is easily done by giving blood and beats picking up trash.

You're a lucky guy. You have a very nice car for being 17. Don't piss off or alienate your parents, they are more valuble than you know. I'm 37 and my dad is 71 and I am STILL learning things from him.

Yes good luck with the court!! I got pulled over the other night at like 2 am with 3 friends, and some cops are just asses. He said he pulled me over for my exhaust!! He wanted to search my car for a blunt that was in it. Said he smelled alcohol and everything jsut to make you nervous, and of course i wasnt drinking. I just wish I would have known my rights!! it wasnt really enough evidence to request a search warrant, for a legal cigar. So i should have just said no. I learned from my mistakes. I shouldnt have been out there driving anyways that late with my loud exhaust.
