I was thinking about getting a new deck, i have the OEM deck and cd player. Ive heard that once u remove it ur keyless entry wont work anymore. so i was wondering how to get it to work cuz some of these businesses that will install dont even know how to keep it. So post some tricks or a solution plz.

I have heard of this before. the keyless entry is acuatlly built inside the head unit. when you buy a aftemarket head unit and the wiring harness for your car the harness is actually a jumper that goes from your oem unit to the new unit. and the old unit is still left in the dash. behind the new one. I have a audio install bay where i work if you need any parts let me know.

Yeah on some models the keyless works through the radio, relocate with the relocating harness (available at any best buy) behid the glove box, if you detach the face of the radio as well it frees up some room and makes it fit easier. The dome light some times has to get jumped over as well i dont remember wich wire i think it says in the relocation harness though. And I have a shop in the west suburbs of Chicago if any one needs help. Street Legal Audio 847-854-1250

post shops/garages in nor-cal. I would rather pay my money to someone that is on this forum and help them out with business and in return i know that u would do a quality job or atleast try ur best. Instead of going to some shop where they overcharge me and do a half ass job.
