Ok I have had this problem for a while, but it is getting worse. I recently bought new tires, new shocks, and had a four wheel alignment. When I get up to 75mph or so I can push on the gas pedal and my car starts vibrating. If I let off the gas it stops. I think that this might be an axle problem but I don't want to go barking up the wrog tree. Has anyone ever had this problem, and if so, what was the problem? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

i had a problem similar but it wasnt just when i hit full throttle...the cause of the problem was a bent rim

What he said ^^^
Bent rim. I got a new hub then a new wheel bearing before I even thought about the rim.

Ok, that bent rim thought interests me now, maybe that is my problem!

I think its the CV axles, wouldn't a bent rim would cause the vibration to happen all of the time, not just under acceleration? BTW, it seems to get worse when pulling a hill.

Could be worn out busing in the front. Probably not. CV Axel busted, Tire is not balanced

You said they did a four wheel alignment, it could be that, if they don't do it right or the wheel is off balance, at a high rate of speed you will get a vibration, and the faster you go the harder it gets.

I went to dallas last weekend and the whole way there my car would vibrate at 76-85mph , I just got new rotas and khumos , so I was like wtf?
some dude at discount tire told me that the lug nuts were acorns when the rotas call for the pointy looking lug nuts that was the prob, dont know if thats your prob. but I thought id throw in my two cents!!!! GLORYHOG

Sounds like you need to get your wheels balanced.
It could be warpped rotors too.

I've had a similar problem for 2 years now, except that mine is consistent from 75-88 regardless of throttle position.. You definitely need to have your axles inspected; 100$ will usually replace a bad one with a full (remanufactured) one with cv joints etc... For me, well, I've gone through 2 sets of wheels, 4 sets of tires, new axles, and about 20 balances, and my car still does it =\ So I just drive over 90 all the time =)

Well definitely get your wheels balanced first. Also, if you purchased aftermarket rims, you could also benefit from getting some hubcentric rings for your wheels. These would ensure that there is solid, complete contact between the wheel and your hub. These are only about $20, and can be purchased from any reputable aftermarket wheel dealer.

just an update to my post above ^ My vibration is finally gone... after dealing with it through the stock wheels, some eagle alloys, and some tsw's, it's finally gone now that I bolted on some nice new 17's, accurrately balanced... (note that I had hubcentric rings on both sets of aftermarket wheels) I'd have to say this was the most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with on any of my cars, and I'm unbelievably satisfied that it's gone =)
