Do i have to change half shafts?

I have a bad 1/2shaft on my 89 crx Hf. Boot riped and its clicking. I have a complete DX civic (wrecked) for parts but not sure if the axels are interchangable. the civic is 1988 i belive. If they arnt interchangable is it posable to change hubs or anything. I m just trying to save money here.
Oh yeah, swaped motor with the dx and used si Intake TB header etc.

Throw the DX ones in. They are interchangable.

They are not interchangeable. The hf uses smaller shafts. You would need to swap the knuckles, and possibly the tranny. Not sure if the tranny end of the shafts are smaller too.

yeah the hf axles have differnt splines on the hub side.

You could use Civic STD axles, which are the same as CRX HF axles.
