How much hp do i gain if i change my d16y7 to a mini me....lets juss say that its a mini me with i/h/e, improved intake manifold and improved camshaft.....no port and polish and no turbo or nos.....how much hp am i going to increase??? Need info so i'll know wat to get...thanx

It can vary quite a bit depending on exactly what kind of I/H/E you install, and of course the cam. The mini-me alone will net you about 30+ extra when vtec is engaged. I/H/E may get you another 10 crank HP, and the cam, well at most another 10 crank HP.

I don't think the head swap will give you +30hp because the y7 has 106 and the y8 has 127 so at best you could excect +21hp.

Hey civic4ges, how far is Lewiston ME from the New Brunswick border, I live just accrost the border in Woodstock N.B..

I must be 5-6 hours from there, lewiston is central/southern maine about an 2 hours from new hampshire

I though Lewiston was near Old town, never met a Mainer on this site or any auto site before. Good to see there is some out there. Take it easy.

Yeah, we just got the internet here in Maine last month! Joking!!! Old town is a good 3 hours from Lewiston....

stock y7 with z6 head without vtec 98whp with vtec 108whp i/DCheader/apexi exuast 115whp with 70shot nos 152whp :wink:

And are those HP numbers dyno proven or an estimate? i also run nitrous, and have a p28 i need chipped. i was told not to run nitrous on a chipped program as they advance spark and may cause detonation. i was thinking of running an N.O.S. program..........

those are proven dyno numbers we have a dyno at our shop... i was running a d15b program but i got tired of it and cut the jumper so im running off the stock map now... i dont really know if running a chipped ecu and nos at the same time is bad or not but i had no problems
