.44? I thought it should be much less than that. Lik3 .30 or .28 maybe? or is that too small.

28 is probably too small, but I have seen people put it at .33ish. Originally I had it at 1.0 and then changed it, so .44 is small to me! It’s all guess and check, sort of!

Good Luck

I went to the IDA Automotive where I dynoed my car, and ended up changing my spark plug gap to .30. So I guess any where around there is good! :D

I am running .32 so i will probably run .30. Btw how much boost are you running?

Right now, I'm running almost stock gap on a d16z6 at 8lbs. I have no problems. On my old setup, it was a z6 block, d15b7 head and a d16a6 head gasket (somewhere around 8.1:1 compression, and I had to gap em to about .35 so it wouldn't blow em out at 8lbs. I think it all depends on the compression, fueling, etc.

I have a d16y8 pushing 7psi of boost and I am still using the stock spark plug gap. After about 2 months though the plugs begin to blow out. For 7psi what should the gap be? Also, I am uping the boost to 15psi soon, what should the gap be then? Oh, my ignition system consist of an MSD blaster 2 coil and an MSD Distributor Cap. Using stock NGK plugs.
