uhh maybe I havent geeked out enough like you guys but where do you run the 1/4? I've only unlocked the stage1 turbo so far lol and a few cars. The funny thing is I made the cover of Turbo magazine BEFORE I even had a turbo hah! the game is still far too arcade like for my tastes but fun none the less. Its more like the very first NFS on ps1 :) The sensation of speed is very good compared to other games like Nascar and F12002. when you are doing 165mph it actualy FEELS like it! That part I love. BTW as with every game I play, as I considermyself a true hardcore gamer, I am doing this with no cheat codes!!

bizzar , did you know in this game you can dyno tune your car, and further tuning can be done to just about everything - suspension, turbo, transmission - you can even tune your ECU for max tq output :shock:

but yea, you need to go to your garage - go to dyno tune, tune for drag and then do a test run ....... you will be able to practice launching, shifting, etc .

and at the end of the test run it tells you your trap speed and time :TU:

Ahhh in the test run section. I only test run for drift and streetx. Yes I have tuned the shit out of my suspension and ecu. Come to think of it the dyno graph even shows a 1/4 time does it not? I know one of my times with my stage1 turbo civic was a 13.27 and after tuning I got it down to a 13.09 with a max top speed of 183mph. Have you guys drove the Tiberon? Man that bitch sounds mean thats no tiberon I know of lol. I did get an engine swap for the civic. I raced some eclipse in the outrun crap and got him then he had me go to some special shop for free :) so far my favorite car is the Peugot lol I know...The thing handles so sweet when you deck it out and tweak it. I have the Civic for my home PC and the Puegot here at work. Gonna pick up that tiberon and see what it does though. I guess I should finish up my sponsor requirements first so I can get those nice cars. Every race in the civic I'm up against friggin 350z's and Mustangs wtf!!

one thing I absolutely LOVE about this game .... when your just chillin in the city, parked somewhere - if you have the music off you can hear races in the backgrounds ... all different types of cars ...... you can hear Hondas, Subaru, Rx7s ... its so fucking cool :TU:

I love small details like that ..... In my eyes, thats what makes the game - the environment, details, graphics - all that

8.12 with a GTR all perfect shifts with Nawwwz. Stage III everything. Motor sounds wicked when it's balanced and blue printed. unlocked everything over the weekend, but still only 64% complete.

I like the hydros lol. If I'm out of NAWZ I can sit there and do some hoppin for a refill :) My cars suck :( both sort of slow but I havent put a shitload of time into it. Its starting to get boring and too repetitious. I have to win 29 races to fullfill my sponsor? Fuck that shit. I have a Civic totally riced out now with a 4 star rating and just picked up a AudiTT with stage1 turbo,weight, suspension and stage2 nos,ecu and engine. Tops out at 189 not too bad I guess. I think I'm only like 30% done hah!!

the CRX is in GT 2 as well man. there are si's, and a special CRX pro. 2.

NFSU2 is the best arcade style racing out there. it is way better than SRS.

my 0-60 was a little quicker, but you got me. i dont know i have to play weird with the gtr. i dont hold the gas like normal on the countdown, i wait for it to sa go and the i hit the gas and nitrous and go from there. i get way better times like that for some reason.

well I've finished the game.................100%........there are SUV races, but you don't have to use an SUV to race against them.........my TT owns.......was nice to open up everything and then go back to the shop after a while and de-riceify my ride, took my rep points down to like 6.06, but it was worth it.

I found that when you go back to world map to finish off the missing races, you'd have to start the race, and then restart it again in order to win the money, either that or you do the whole race and you get stuff all cash.......

It's a shit load of work to finish this game........actually got to me, but I've never had a game that I've never finished........this one just got VERY long after a while, races aren't that hard, but DAMN............you get tired of going around in circles for 4 laps on a 7km course.....

I rate the game a 7/10, bring on GT4.
