I have a Z6 in my 92 hatch with a CX tranny. I was wondering if i could use the CX clutch and flywheel on a Y8 tranny. I really dont want to have to break in a different clutch right now. thanks.

Yes, they are the same size and same spline count.

question why CX tranny, unless your turbo.

i believe he wants to use the clutch and flywheel that he had with the old cx trans. hes gonna take it out of there and put it in the new one, well on the z6 motor

Yes, get your flywheel turned down so you can start with a smooth surface.

The clutch is going to slip at high rpm's. I tried using a brand new dx clutch with my dx tranny and d16a6 si engine and best believe it slipped like mad at high rpms. when I swapped over an older si clutch and pressure plate believe it or not it was perfectly mint.
