I am currently useing Sprint Springs (2" drop) and am thinking of going to the skunk2 coilover setup. I was wondering if anybody else here has used these or nows anything about them???

I had a set on my 95 hatch. My friend with a 94 hatch also had a set. They are too bouncy for me. For the few extra dollars I'd rather have a set of ground controls.
That's me though.

Depends on where you go.. Usually around $300-330 a set.. in that ballpark.

eibach makes their springs, and you can order custom spring rates.

Well, the bounciness is caused from either/ or too stiff a spring, or poor dampening from the shock.
The good thing about GC is you can order any spring rate you want.
I'm not too sure if Skunk offers that.
Truechoice is another option.

they are ussually bouncy if you don't upgrade your shocks/struts as well. consider upgrading those as well too.
brand new tokico blues are only going to run you about $300
or tokico whites which are usally $100 more.

I put the skunk2's on my car last night. I didnt actualy drive the car til today. The car handles great. its alot stiffer than the springs but i havnt noticed any unsual bouncing. i have them set at about 2" right now.

Bouncy or not, Skunk 2 is a beyond better product than Sprint.

i also had the skunk2's before on another car i had, they were very bouncy because of using them with stock struts (big mistake) the stock struts didnt last long
also they do offer different spring rates now but you have to buy the replacement springs separately. I would recommend that if you are buying a sleeve type coilover like the GC or Skunk2 that you look into some high quality shocks/struts along the lines of Koni or the Tokico Illumina etc.

i read a review somewhere, someone had the skunk2 coilovers running about 3" drop and they were using tokiko illuminas (forget what they were set at) and said the ride was smooth.

the ride will not be smooth lowered 3" on skunk2's. You WILL feel every bump in the road. I hope that anyone riding on that setup has good roads in their area and I hope that they never have to drive over rail-road tracks or hit a pothole!

Ride quality will also depend largely on tire/wheel choice - obviously if you're running 185/60-14's on steelies, there will be a lot more cushion than if you're on 205/40-16's or 205/35-17's.
Also the type of tire will affect ride quality - for example you'll notice a softer ride with on a all-season or "high performance" street tire - like a Yokohama ES100 - than a stiff-sidewalled true performance tire like a Falken Azenis or Toyo RA-1.
