get the turbo first. then change the head, build the block, and other mods.

Turbo first!!
unless your doing a second engine and building it out of car...
then internals first.
Like Im doing...its going to be sweet!!

And I know its not the right place buy you might want to look at engine management too...just a thought.

Sonny: hey have you heard of or anything of the DTEC system by turboxs yet?
Looking for any info on it..its brand new!!!

Hey I looked into some turbo kits and what I want pricewise and perf wise the greddy kit looks nice..it comes with everything I need even an intercooler, 6-7 psi is the max I am gonna run...I think the whole setup was like 2300 or something like that, I have a lot of bolt ons so the turbo will work even better than on my stock d16...I did some calls adn my local shop RS motors will install the kit and dyno runs for 500.....they specialize in honda/acura everything and they said they can have it done in one day....so Im pumped as fuck!!! :) I have a lot of shit to do b4 my turbo fund is startd but It looks like I know what I am going to do, now my next question is....what s good cam for a turbo?? I already have a stage 1 zex cam but I am gonna get a stage 2 and replace the springs and retainers too, so Ill be extra safe.... lemme know guys, everyone has been awesome so far!!!! :)

If I install the stage 2 crower turbo cam, will it be ok running without the turbo for a few months until I get it in????

I should have one in my grimey little hands in about a week.. Coincidentally since I posted a few nights back, I got a message from them about it.. So I should have a firsthand look at it in a few days and a review of it not too long after..

I'll cross-post the review on this forum and on my home base www.evolutionm.net where I do most of my tech stuff.

Oh, and I'm fabricating my own turbo kit, however I'm using a spare front mount intercooler from a mitsubishi evolution, there's tons of them out there now and their pretty big and efficient, though I haven't verified good fitment on my car (This weekend I'll know for sure)

it would run, but I don't know how well it would.

I guess Ill stick with my stage 1 zex cam then...put the cam gear in and replace the springs ans retainers and see how I run.... if not where I want...Ill swap the cam toi s a stage 2 turbo... will my zex cam stage 1 work with my turbo.. I know I called them and they said for a jackson supercharger that has a 6psi limit itll work awesome but what do u guys think????

gftgrill

yes it will work with a turbo. I think the stg1 is good for a turbo. if you're going to get the crower stg2 turbo cam, wait until you have the turbo to get it.
