are there any upgrades that can be done to an automatic transmission, other than a torque converter swap?

I am some what wanting to keep my automatic, but, it steals my power on my fresh D16A6, it's quite upsetting :(

In-line filter, transmission cooler, www.levelten.com has a rebuild kits for Honda automatics that is suppose to handle 300 or 400 ft.lbs of torque, plus they also sell complete race automatics with shift kits and all.

way too spendy for a daily driver :(

..i'll probably be swapping to a 5 speed now
