so has anyone tried this? I know the older vtec 1.5s use 27.75mm compression height pistons, so if you had the top 0.75mm machined off, it should theoretically give you a nice compromise between stock and the PMS (GX) slugs, right? Just guessing but I'm thinking it would be around 10-10.5:1...(??)
I'm actually in the process of building a d17 internal bottom end, I'm hoping to find a reasonable way to do this while I've got the motor apart without having to go with $$$$ custom pistons...

full floating pins, eh? do those stay in there when the motor is assembled to run or just for mocking up?
that piston to deck height tool is sweet too...
trying to think of how you could build one to work with a regular ol micrometer...
