Dont know "Tom's" but I do know Eibach. I can only say good things about Eibach, but I have only used Eibach from 92 til today. Eibach and Tokicos seem to like running togeather on my Hondas...
I dont like to try new things in springs, I go with what is tried and proven. Its scares me to think of something going wrong in that area, there are different forces that even Darth Vader may be scared of.

The Pro-Kits that I have dropped it a bit, 1.5 ish? Great for city use.
They have other springs that drop more, but I could not use the car that low in SF. So I think you would be ok with Pro-Kits if you are concerned about going to low. SF has some really bad streets, much like NYC

I really should try something new, like H&R.
But why, the Eibachs are doing what I want them to,
and so many other things to get/buy/spend my hard
earned cash for.
H&R...someday

There are two distinctly different types of springs that can be used on vehicles, linear and progressive. Linear springs are of a basic type, they hold a constant stiffness throughout its compression. Progressive springs change their force throughout the compression process. Usually a progressive spring will provide less stiffness through the first stages of compression and gradually increase in stiffness as the spring continues compressing.

I got skunk 2 coilovers and they are great!!
KYB adjustable shocks great too!
Make sure you get camber kits so you don't go through tires like underwear.

:D had some H&R's in my 1990 teg sedan...very nice, great handling no bouncies. Eibachs in my 91 Si hatchback... lowered more than SOFT sports were supposed to :bubbrubb: . Had some Suspension Techs...those are nice too. i'd rank H&R 1rst, then the ST's 2nd, Eibachs ahead of Neuspeeds..dropped a 1/4 inch over a yr with new illuminas.

I got H&Rs and they are awesome but I would like some adjustibility so I might get some Skunk2 or GC coilovers but still thinking hard on this one since I love my H&Rs. I will get better Struts dough maybe AGX or Illuminas.
