I was wondering if I could take a 95 Si tranny and replace the aluminum shift fork with a steel fork from a 6th gen. Do 97 DX trannies have the steel shift fork? If so, could I put it in a 95 Si tranny? Thanks

Yes and no...the 5th gear shift fork is the only one that will fit as far as I know.

No you cant do that. The 96+ steel forks have three bars that go the forks in place. THe 92-95 have two.
93 SI (broke) shift forks. Notice the two steel rods? the 96+ have three

Well...the y8 has a different 5th gear. Y8 5th is longer then a 92-95 SI...but other then that its the same. 5th gear really doesnt matter.
