Heres what happens when you run slicks and dump the clutch at 6800rpm with no LSD :) Put a nice hole in the trans case but I already recycled it so sorry no pics :(

Heres pics of the axle. As you can see a nice clean break where the axle goes into the CV. Theres a hint of twisting but it snapped it off real good lol.

not how much hp, but how LITTLE HP.

Broken spiders and axles usually result from to little hp or too big of slicks.

Yep you are correct there Mista B. I'm right at that point of too much hp for streets (not really just want more fun :) ) and too little hp for slicks. too much hp for stock diff, yet too little to justify spending the cash. If I could muster out a little bit more hp and get the slicks to rotate a turn or two all would be fine but unfortunatly I'm gettin 100% traction. Good to some...but not good to a stock diff hehe. FYI 22x8x13 M&H Racemasters on Keizer 7lb rims.

Bizzar, I already have the Kaaz LSD and will be going to the same 22x8x13 M&H's this season. I plan on bringing a spare set of axles with me also.

My track record......

D15 at 125 hp, stock clutch/slicks = exploded spiders on a stock tranny
D15 at 135 hp, stock clutch/slicks = repeat!

D16Z6 at over 200 hp (ZEX!) with Centerforce clutch/slicks = never a problem.

I launched high enough (7000-7800 rpm) to make sure the slicks slipped a bit to soften the launch.

Next season on the 22x8x13's will be interesting. If I can get a clutch to hold, the car CAN run 12.6-12.7 on a clean pass.
