I would just like to share my experience with this cheap turbo kit I bought off the net.
The kit came with a Garrett T25 turbo and "all other necessary parts":
It came with a downpipe which doesn't fit (I had to bring it to a muffler shop to tweak it for me) and doesn't have a hole for the O2 sensor,
an exhaust manifold which had a couple of holes in it (manufacturing defects)
and I had to grind the corners for it to fit on my block
and a MAP box which came with the wrong wiring diagram which I learned the hard way when my check engine warning light went on on the beltway and I had to pull over (I called the company I bought it from and they gave me a new diagram).
I know you're supposed to get what you paid for, but this was ridiculous, man. I bought a kit so the only thing I had to fabricate was the hole in the oil pan, man.
The kit is sold by TSI.

Sorry about the crap you had to go through. I hate when companies advertise and lead you to think complete bolt on. My friend's downpipes were crooked too. I lucked out with my custom T3 turbo kit. Ebay. It fitted real nice on my crx. I guess it's just the way the ball drops.

I know it's not much. I'm just proud of what I put together by myself. Cut me some slack, guys. hehe.

Nice car... i didn't know anyone else besides me that had that color still :D
I don't know about the black rims though... hmm... to each his own.
Just curious... how easy was it to run oil lines to the turbo from your pan? Were there any leaks? I'm thinking about building my own turbo setup and I'm always nervous when I mess with something stock...

Thanks, man.
It was quite easy. I took down the oil pan, drilled a hole for the fitting, and put some of that Goop sealant around the fitting before putting it in. Changed the gasket, no leaks. The oil pan gasket was leaking before I took it down. It ain't anymore.
The timing was already off before I put the turbo in. After I put it in, apparently the setting was just perfect for turbocharging.
It runs a little rich, but it's all good. A small price to pay for being the first car out on a red light and that badass wastegate sound, man. hehe.

I'm pretty sure it was $1650.
Yea, man. I'm thinking of doing all that, but I'm still recovering financially. 'Still have diapers and baby formula to buy. hehe.
I got the wheels from wheelmax.com. $700+. Knock-offs. What can I say. I'm cheap. I'll buy the original spoons when I win the lottery.

Nice ride and I like the black wheels. My wife has a harvard blue '93 4-door I'm thinking of putting some kinda black or gunmetal wheels on.I think they look good on certain colors.I got one question though, how the hell do you keep from draggin your muffler off?My pipe has only about an inch clearence between it and the valance and I still drag going into steep driveways and mine's not lowered either.
