first of all...what car is this going into? 88-91 or 92+?..im thinking 88-91 because you have a b2...so go with the 88-91 civic/crx si tranny...shorter gearing = better acceleration..if you have a 92+ go with the si/ex

88-91 cable 92-? hydroulic

No, the tranny won't work w/o swapping to hydro. The Z6 will but you'll have to add a few wires.

If he has a D15B2 in the States, he's in an 88-91 Civic. He should use the stock transmission, since the hydraulic Z6 transmission won't work properly in his car. The sedan gearing isn't too bad either- the only real difference between the sedan and the Si gearing is the final drive. Sedan = 4.058, and Si = 4.250. It's pretty close.

i am living in europe so i have 92+ sedan with d15b2. i have heard that to swap engines i need to change wiring.. so will changing complete engine be more good than only changing head and ECU?

Switching to the 1.6L will give you a little more torque - and can handle more power if you plan on upping the ante on horsepower later. Also, the Z6/Y8 tranny has the best gear ratios of the 92+ D series transmissions. The Y8 (S40) has better shift forks (steel vs. aluminum in the Z6 (S20))
