Get sponsored??

Sup everyone, I recently responded to an ad "Get Sponsored" I saw in an issue of superstreet. Turns out I got the contract by snail mail today and according to the contract my ride would be sponsored for $12,000 "co-op" for the next year by a company called Sports Compact Pro, with the condition of attending at least 4 events over the year. The only thing I don't understand is that "co-op" thing, you guys think I'm going to have to share project expenses or something?? Has anyone been sponsored? If so, please help me out based on your experiences. Thanks in advanced for the help.
