The actual reason is because the counter shaft(pinion) is too long on the hydro trans. and the 3-4 gears are in opposite positions.

What about the input shaft?????

They are different lenghts also.

Remember, I figured this out 4-5 years ago.

Your right and yes the main shaft is different also. I don't know the difference in length. Since it didn't fit in my application I sold the tranny and moved on...per your instructions.

If your going to proclaim yourself to be the tranny expert on an online forum, you shouldn't have attitude that people ask you questions. Verbally berating, belittling, or being terse doesn't make anyone feel welcomed. I/we all appreciate that your willing to share your knowledge. But if it means I have to bow, grovel and beg for it, forget it.
