Its 50$ a year, if you go to walmart they have a package you can get and it comes with the headset and 1 free year of online gaming!!!! Dudes its super cool!

$50 a year isnt bad but if you still have to pay $25-30 a month for dsl it turns out to be alot and that for me isnt good yet.

If you pay like, $50-60, it gets you one year and a headset. You'll also want to invest in the team talk headset pack as well($20~). because only the controller in player 1's port will allow headsets.

I don't play much since I don't have an xbox of my own (yet) but I play on m other friend's names. Howzabout we post up the names that we have so that we can hook up?

Everyone needs to get PGR:2. It's the best racing game out for xbox right now. It's no Gran Tourismo, but it's pretty damn close. The car selection is just as extensive though, with a nice mix of Import and domestic cars to choose from. The tracks are very well mapped, lots of detail. The cars are incredible too, ranging from he miata to the Ferrari Enzo. There are also two booster packs available for download: Paris and Long Beach. Paris is ok, but Long Beach has everything you would ever want.

I play splinter cell: pandora tomorrow on live, that game is the SHIT on live, its so hard and tense through out the whole experiense on live. I also play PGR:2, and Ghost Recon: Island Thunder. But I havent played xbox live in a long ass time now, had no time, but when Street Racing Syndicate comes out I am going to play that a lot of live. You can run for "pink slips" on live.

1 350z model = ~ 1 hr of occupied time (and that’s being generous) ....5hrs total

XBOX Live = infinite amount of occupied time ....umpteen hrs

dont put any ISP name or password on your network adapter setup, leave all those blanks. Your moden should allready have all that info set.

If you are using a hub you will need an additional ip from your isp. Some isps provide you with multiple ips however others charge... either ways you can get around it. The easiest way is to use a router and have it assign your console an ip and your computer an additional ip. No matter what you will need two ips or just use one at a time

just reboot your modem and it should reassign the ip to your console

Most routers these days are designed specifically for xbox live in mind. You could also get a $10 switch or something that will probably work as well.

i'm not sure how cable modems work, but at least DSL modems are basically mini-routers. You can interact with them just like other routers. This is useful for the setups where your computer has to send a login and password through the modem to your service. You can program the modem to do that instead... that's how you get around companies charging extra to attach more than one computer in those situations. AOL and Yahoo DSL come to mind...

So you might be able to get your cable modem to do that if that's what's stopping you from hooking up to your console.
