Are the Apexi Afc's any good? I am spaying a NX 75 Wet shot now, motor is fine dynoed and everything. Doing a full rebuild this winter- top to bottom with my Z6 hoping to push huge number with my custom T3/T4 turbo Z6. Would a afc help me out or just go with a standalone, or something like Hondata, or one of the freebies like turboedit, and would the afc work in conjunction with the above and help me or is it crap, overkill, or a waste of money? Thanks.

hondata - obdI
turboedit - obd0
standalone - $$$
afc - cheap fuel management ( basically makes it so you dont run lean/rich )

What about Uberdata? I know beerbong on here is running it with his turbo Z6 with good results and thats what he recommends. ??? I also heard that the AFC is only effective up to about 10-12 psi (like for d owners using DSM 450cc's or any other upgraded injector), is that true??? I want to push more than 10-12 lbs.

It's not true as long as you upgrade your injectors the hack will support whatever you throw at it.

i found these, but i would like to know some more info than just the general stuff, if possible. like, how should you drive the car while tuning on the streets, should you be on an incline, what percent throttle? anyone with experience doing this?

The afc works and lots of people have used it successfully, but why would you use one when you can have full control over your fuel, ignition, etc... by using one of the free ROM editors out there? Chipping your ECU would be cheaper than buying an afc hack and it will be much safer. I would defintely think about doing this since you will be building your motor. Here is a nice little article on the afc hack... http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=841443

If you feel the need to run the AFC(why, im not sure) please boost 9-10psi and knock 2-4* off your dizzy. It will make your car all around more safe.
This is all explained in the thread bbka linked.

how much does it cost in general to have your ecu chipped and to buy all the necessary cables and rom burners to tune at home?Well the program to tune is free, the parts to chip your ECU including the ROM chip are maybe $25, and you can get a burner anywhere from $75-$125. That's basically all you need right there, so anywhere from $100-$150 to get you started.
Having a cheap eBay laptop < $200, does come in handy especially when your at the dyno or if you want to datalog. You could also invest in a wideband o2 sensor for around $300 if you plan on tuning on your own without a dyno. These things aren't absolutely necessary though. If I had to I would take my desktop computer to the dyno place lol.
