Has anyone here have a MSD Ignition installed on thier civic? Does it help at all. I heard that they are not worth putting on the "d's".....If you have one installed which model? I was thinking about getting one, but not sure if they are worth it, thanks!

Stock ignition is good up to 400Hp! Not worth it.

I have the msd sci, with blaster ss coil.
I did see more torque at low-end and idles better.
not a must, but reassurance that fuel mixture gets burn well.
I have the 6A and Blaster SS combo on my 11:1+ A6 engine. With the stock ignition, the engine was hard to start and idle exhaust fumes were enough to kill you. The swap to the MSD coil solved those problems. The 6A was added as I aquired it in a parts trade. My engine lights off in less than one revolution.

msd is not necessary at all. i have it because i got it for free, i have the 6a and i'm not complaining, you wont see any major or maybe no gain at all, but it's a smoother idle and faster start up.
i HATE looking for a place to mount that bitch...i mounted mine behind my intake manifold on the firewall...that's the hardest part of the installation, finding a mounting place.
