as far as I know, nothing from a b block/head/tranny will fit a d block/head/tranny.

throttle body http://www.d-series.org/forums/images/icons/icon10.gifbut that's technically not part of the head/block/tranny. but yes you can do that.

some of us (ME!) know of a few SPECIAL parts in the tranny that will interchange.

WTF does that exactly mean? The best I could deduce from this is that you either tried it and didn't work or you tried it and it did work. Short of you tried it, it passes on no info what so ever! The swap was done by who 4 years ago? Would they provide the info people want or just more cryptic BS?

Swap was done not by me, but someone else. I'm in talks with Richmond Gear to make a D series LSD from B series stock. One simple 3 minute CNC process is all that is needed and they don't wanna listen!!!!!!!!

What needs to be machined? Is it the case of the diff assembly? Ring gear holes?

I've never compared a D-series and B transmission so I'm curious as to how this can be done.

It doesn't surprise me that Richmond doesn't want to listen, their busy making money off of the F-body/Mustang crowd. The domestic companies are slow to respond to this market. Which sucks.

All they would have to do to use the 90-93 Teg spool in a SOHC tranny is cut a groove on the drivers side for the locking ring.

Then you'd have to run larger Teg inner joints, but that is easy.

oh well shit that's really simple! But you say it works on a spool what about an LSD? Does the diff carrier fit within the case? Also is the ring gear bolt pattern the same for a B-series and D-series?

ring gear pattern is same, stock diff carrier fits with grinding, "B" LSD not even close!!!!!!!
