Hey all.

I received my dealer account buy-in from Team Dynamics USA and I need to buy a complete set of wheels for the initial account set-up. I used to have a set of their Motorsport wheels in 17x7 size a few years ago and i really like the quality and finish of the wheels (not to mention durability as kissing a curb at 120km/hr only put a dent in them).

I'm looking at the Pro Race 1 wheel (white one below is the 15. black one is the 17) in either black or white and the only size it comes in is 17x7 and 15x7. since the 15's would be lighter i figured i'd get them. however, i'm unsure of what a safe offset would be for my civic so when i turn or when the suspension travels it doesn't contact the fender or the suspension parts themselves.

Team Dynamics recommends a +35 offset but that seems a bit pushed out to me since my last wheels were 17x7 with +45. I know the 15's would be a smaller diameter but the width is still the same so I'm guessing +40 would be the most to push it out

Any suggestions? the weight of the wheels by the way are around 13lbs and they are tested and approved for street and race so i figured since i had such good luck with them before and I can get an account to sell them I would get them.

P.S forgot to mention i'm running skunk2 c/o's on tokico illuminas with a approx 2.25" drop. i was planning to run 205/50/15 azenis but a 195/50 ive read might be better.

I don't think you should have a problem with the 15X7 I am currently running 16X7.5 I think and they don't rub. I used to have 17X8 and they were fine as well. I hope I helped you out

Good Luck

I have rota slip streams, 15 x 6.5. 40 mm offset. they barely clear the rear upper control arm thing. before I had 17 x7 with a 42 mm offset. no rubbing with either except when turning with the wheel fully turned, even then not all the time.

but yeah I would go with the 35 mm offset. because between the wheel and that arm, I can't squeeze my finger through there. if you go with a 40 mm offset, you'll probably have to have a wheel spacer.

im worried that a 35 offset with a 7" width (even tho it's 2" smaller dia) wont rub when crusing but as soon as do some hard cornering or quick movement the tire will rub or contact then.

I know TD recommends 35 offset for their 15x7 but i wonder if that is assuking a sotck ride height and suspension situation.

i know, this is :fag: to worry about. i just know how aggressive my driving is and ANY contact between the wheel and the car with some of the cornering my Civic is capable of is flirting with disaster

no way, dude. This isnt gay to worry about. What would be gay is if you were worried about whether or not the color of the rims matched the color of your spark plug wires or something...

Anyway, my old rims that i had were 15x7 BBS's with a +40 offset, and i had 205/50/15's on them. It NEVER rubbed. I had my car lowered 2 inches, then eventually 3, give or take. It never rubbed then either.

Now i am running 15x6.5 Rota slipstreams with 205/50/15's and a +40 offset, still doing just fine. I think +40 is a good offset to roll with on a 15 inch rim. Ive never had a problem.

steve, the easiest way to figure out wheel/offset combo's is to look at only honda aftermarket tuners(spoon/mugen) and what they offer. if you plan on using a 15x6.5 the offset for a honda(92 and up) should be +45. for 15x7's you should have a +43 offset(+42 will work also! :)) so basically, 6.5 = +45 and 7 = +43. :) :jesus:

thanks for the input guys.

i wont be getting the wheels for quite a while which is okay because 9 times out of ten i research pretty much everything i buy for my car for some time before i get it. i just dont want to have to end up buying something twice or end up having it not work well for me.

thanks again. i think the 15's it will be.

now for the colour choice......:hammer:
