Quick Distributor Question

Will a OBD1 distributor work on a OBD2 car if the OBD2 car is using a OBD1 ECU?
-93 Si distributor on a 99 Dx with a P28 ECU

let me correct rexinre here....

I doubt an OBD1 dizzy will even plug into an OBD2 harness. Plus I believe the dizzy from a d16z6 will not bolt to a d16y8 head
