I have a single cam zc non vtec and was wondering how you adjust the valves and also setting timing are the valves and timing marks the same as the usdm si d16a6 because I have the specs on that just wasnt sure if the two engines were the same.

sohc zc non-vtec = d16a6
I see a helms(best)/chiltons/haynes manual in your future soon. Buy it and read it on the pot even when you don't need to fix anything. Maybe buy two copies so you don't wipe with greasy hands. :D :)
You might want to look at going with tighter crearances with the valve lash. most people say go .002" tighter on both intake and exhaust for a little more power. The cams are slightly different between the 2 motors, but not significantly so. Ignition timing can also be upped in an effort for more power. A few dergees (2-4) more than stock is usually better for top end. Whenever that is done people usually run the higher octane gasoline (premium) to be extra sure that detonation/pre-ignition isn't occuring, although you should use the lowest octane rating that you can, in order to make the most power possible.
all the specs in the book for the a6 will be what you will want to run for your sohc zc. Good luck!

It might not be the same motor but you will get the basics of it. AMkrew1 is right though you should get some kind of manuel to help you along your way.

All you have to do is ensure you set your valve lash is set when the rocker arm is not engaging the cam! Just turn your cam until you see the non-lobed portion, its pretty easy to see
