crx engine swap need some help

i have a 1989 crx si took out the motor and put in a d16z6.i'm using the a6 distributer i had to open up the holes to make it fit.it worked for a while then the shaft bent in the distributer.i don't won't to put another a6 one on what are my options? another thing i bought a msd rpm activation switch for the v-tec and it's not working. i herd you can hook a shift light to the v-tec is that possible?

you can hook up a light for your vtec one way is from the ecu another is from the vtec solonoid, they sell kits for it or you can do it yourself but im not sure on the wiring you can try this site i think http://www.teamsolwa.com/vteclight.html
