im gonna get to the track this saturday (finally) its been long awaited. and I was just gonna see if i could get some estimates from you guys before i go, so i can have some idea of what i might be running.
so if you got anymore questions just ask. im just looking for what my 1/4 mile time might be.
thanks

ok so i have my 92 4door honda civic thats boosted.

everything is stock body wise except for the dropzone gas shocks and ajustable coilovers.

Engine:
d16y7 built
forged eagle H-beams
srp 10.5:1 pistons
block posting
550 hc injectors
uberdata tune

head:
delta cam 272(i think)
better valve springs
5angle port and polish
stock headgasket
arp head studs

Turbo: 16psi
garrett T3/t4e
equal length tubular header
2.5in dp
huge 32X3X6 intercooler
2in straight pipe all the way back(no cat)

water/nitromethonal injection:
I have an aquamist kit and im running a 50-50 mix on the water and nitro
it makes a huge difference you can actually tell when it starts to spray.

tires:
hoosier slicks
22X10X13

thats it

gdamn.....you'll run fast, not sure what, but it'll be fast....i'm assuming possible low 11's,

wow thats what i like to hear i wasent planning on that low

how much horsepower you hitten? i'm assuming this thing was tuned on a dyno correct?

slammedcivy

no it still hasent been dyno tuned

all i did was buy a wideband o2 and an egr guage and just kept making runs with it and played with it till everything looked good and it ran real good

thats more what i figured i was guessing mid to high 12s

id like to know how much hp is possiable to come out of that motor with 16 psi and a good dyno tune?

i'd like to be, but honestly that's why i said "possibly low 11's" cause i wasn't sure how much he was putting to the ground with his setup, and that was also assuming it was tuned on the dyno. but your probablky right mid-low 12's...but no harm in wishful thinking right?

I am guessing 300whp give or take a few (probably more with good tuning). I think dipping into the 11's is possible with that setup with a little more work. The exhaust being 2 inch has to be restrictive (might want to take that off for the track) and those slicks are kinda small also. My buddy recently ran a 11.5 @ 118 mph in his CRX racecar on 14 psi (gutted, roll cage, built motor, fire suit, etc...). I think he made 380whp at 20 ish psi last time at the dyno and that was basically just a basemap. He has an easy 400whp engine. He should be seeing high 10's this season if nothing breaks at the track and he gets everything tuned (engine and suspension). He always has problems at the track and dyno (boost controller issues this time seeing he was only boosting 14 psi). I also have another friend that ran 12.0 in a 300whp CRX on slicks. That's what I was guessing when I estimated the 1/4 time.

Im going to say 250whp +/- because hes only running a 2" exhaust.

Exhaust sizing is not to be taken lightly. Unbolt the exhaust at the dyno and document the changes. I bet you gain 30whp easily with your AFR becoming drastically more rich(id say 1 AFR point richer is not crazy)

with the exhaust on the down pipe i was going to weld another piece of pipe onto it and just have a removable cap on it so i can just run open dp. do you think this will help at all??

how much of a difference should i expect if i do a complete 3 in straight pipe and dp all the way back

2"vs3" with your turbo and setup i would expect atleast a 30whp difference. 50whp wouldnt be unheard of, but i would expect around 30whp +/-.

I would look into a device called an E-Cutout. It will allow you to open your downpipe at the press of a button in your car. they run about $100 i believe and are pretty cool little devices. Remember you will run richer and your tuning maps will be different between a 2" exhaust and an open 2.5" DP. Id suggest just having two chips and swap them out when you know you are going to go open DP. Its a bit of a PITA but it will be the most effective way to handle your situation

so your saying that changing my exhaust is going to make me run so much more rich that i will need new maps?

thats correct

sounds like u got a good set up man. i like the high compression thing

i love the high compression too. it is so much nicer to have that low end torque and the quick spoll up time is great to. I know it takes more tuneing but in the long run it is so worth it. ill never build anything less than 10:1 ever again

Not rich, lean. The exhaust being bigger will allow more airflow, and you'll need to add fuel to keep the same mixture.
